How It Works

Up and running in under 30 minutes

From sign-up to your first sale — here's exactly how to get your show running on Ride Tickets.

1

Create your account

Sign up with your business name, ABN, and contact details. Your organiser portal is ready instantly — log in and you'll see your empty dashboard waiting to be set up.

2

Connect your bank via Stripe

Click "Connect Stripe" in your portal. Stripe's guided onboarding verifies your identity and links your bank account for payouts. Takes about 5 minutes. Once connected, you can accept card payments immediately.

3

Configure your rides & pricing

Add your rides — give each one a name, emoji icon, category, and price. Then create bundle deals like "5 Rides for $40" to encourage bigger purchases. Drag to reorder how they appear on the kiosk screen. You can update prices remotely at any time.

4

Set up your kiosk

Install the Ride Tickets app on any Android tablet. Open the app, scan the QR pairing code from your portal, and the kiosk auto-configures with your rides and branding. Connect a Stripe card reader and an optional thermal printer — done.

5

Customers buy coupons

Your kiosk is live. Customers walk up, browse rides, select coupons, and tap their card to pay. Each coupon prints instantly with a unique QR code — ready to use at the ride gate.

6

Operators scan tickets at the ride

Generate a 6-digit scanner code from your portal and give it to your ride operators. They open the scanner page on their phone, enter the code, and scan QR codes from customers' tickets. One tap — valid or not — instant feedback.

7

Get paid daily

Stripe settles funds to your bank account daily. Our platform fee is deducted automatically from each transaction — you see exactly what was charged in your dashboard. At the end of each month, you receive a detailed invoice.

Requirements

What you need to get started

  • 📱
Android tablet — any recent model with a screen 8" or larger. Runs the kiosk app in locked-down mode.
  • 💳
Stripe card reader — a Stripe-compatible tap-to-pay terminal. We'll recommend the best model for your setup.
  • 🖨️
Thermal receipt printer (optional) — 58mm or 80mm roll printer for printing QR code tickets. USB or Bluetooth.
  • 📶
WiFi or mobile hotspot — the kiosk needs internet to process payments and sync tickets. A 4G hotspot works fine.
  • 🏦
Australian bank account & ABN — required by Stripe for verified payouts to your business.
